How do we handle duplicate applications?

If you discover multiple applications for the same household (ie. duplicate applications) the following is recommended.

  1. Identify the application ID numbers of the duplicate applications. 
  2. Choose the application ID number of the application you will keep. 
  3. Change the status of the duplicate application to DENIED status. 
  4. Add note to the duplicate application that indicates  "This was a duplicate application to applicant ID# X." Be sure to add in the application ID # of the application that you kept as active.
